The Frank Wicker Great Scott 50 Classic Bike Ride will be on July 4, 2011. Brochure
The 50-mile ride begins with a mass-start at 8 a.m. sharp when riders will enjoy a police escort from Memorial Park in Prior Lake to the city limits. The route winds through the rolling hills and countryside of Scott County. Riders pedal west to Jordan and then wind southeast to New Prague before returning to Memorial Park.
There will be three rest stops along the way with the main stop in New Prague with a variety of refreshments including Gatorade, water, fruit, and kolaches. Restrooms will also be available. Two smaller stops are planned along the route with one in Jordan and another in-between New Prague and Prior Lake for riders to replenish their cold drinks.
Helmets are required.
Registration:
Participants can register online at www.active.com. On-site Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the park. The cost is $15 if registration if received on or before July 1st, 2011. On-site registration is $20.00. The cost includes refreshments at the rest stops as well as lunch after the ride at Memorial Park. Please make checks payable to “Great Scott 50”.
